Surprise Contents

Typically, in our book boxes, we keep the items a surprise so that you can open them with delight and discover how each pairing complements the book. We do announce the title ahead of time, but the rest of the contents remain under wraps (both literally and figuratively) until it arrives at your doorstep.

However, since the holiday season is one that comes with celebratory gift-giving and you may want to know what your recipient is receiving, we are disclosing the contents here on this page to help you visualize the gift you are giving.

A closer look

At SHC, we like to support other small businesses and create a curated experience for our community. (As if I have gathered items from a farmer's market or a boutique so that I can weave together a lovely and special experience for you.)

With that in mind, I source the hand-poured candles, the uniquely-blended tea, and the small bookish gifts from makers and creators who have poured their own talents into their work.

Every so often, I create a unique item to include in the curation: a hand-made velvet bookmark. I choose the color and the charm to represent the book and the season in some special way, and that is what I have done for this Christmas Box.

    I have a passion for connecting people and books. I delight in hosting book club gatherings, welcoming friends in with plenty of yummy treats, delicious tea, and a place to get comfy and talk about what parts of the story really resonated with us. I love sharing book lists, exchanging recommendations, and finding new books to enjoy together and I relish creating a sense of place and an experience of hospitality.     When will the Christmas Box arrive?

    All Christmas boxes will be shipped out by December 10 in order to leave time to arrive by Christmas. The destination address will determine how many days it will take to get there and may vary depending on location.

    Can I order after the pre-order window closes?

    Yes, you are welcome to order as long as we still have boxes available.

    ~Please note that once the boxes sell out, we will not be able to make any more.~

    Do you ship internationally?

    Unfortunately, no. We are not set up for this at the time. We are hoping to be able to ship internationally in the future, but for now we ship to USA only.

    Is this part of the SHC quarterly subscription?

    No, it is not. This is a special one-time offering for the holiday season.

    If you would like to join our subscription, please sign up for our wait-list, where you will be notified when new spots are opened in Spring 2026.

    (If you are already a current subsriber, this box is a seperate one-time purchase.)

    Will my Christmas Box ship when I order it?

    For those who order during the pre-order period, or anytime leading up to December 10, the Christmas Boxes will ship the second week of December, no later than December 10, 2025.

    We will NOT be shipping in November.

    Any orders after December 10th (if still available), will ship within 1-2 days of the order and are not guaranteed to arrive before Christmas.

    How will the personalized gift-giving work?

    There is a section ON THE PRODUCT PAGE that will allow you to enter the name of your gift-recipient as well as the messege you would like to include as the gift-giver.

    This is NOT on the checkout page.

    If no giftee or message is noted, then the personalization will be to the person listed in the shipping address.
