The Summer Book

We are so pleased to announce our Summer Book Box title selection is What Katy Did by Susan Coolidge.

Published in 1872, What Katy Did is the story of Katy Carr, who has some growing up to do. There are lessons to be learned the hard way, but thankfully she's imaginative and resourceful. Katy has many opportunities to grow in strength (in more ways than one!). With lovely domestic scenes, this middle-grade novel paints a vibrant picture of the joys and sorrows of life in 19th century Ohio. It's going to be lovely to settle in to this story together this summer.

Summer is the perfect time for the nostalgia of childhood summer reading!

Our special Summer Reading Set!

Summer at Tiffany is the perfect book to add to your cozy summer reading!
It's a delightful personal memoir of young Marjorie Hart from the midwest who, together with her best friend Marty, spends the summer of 1945 in New York City working as a "page" for the illustrious Tiffany and Co.  Coming from a smaller town, the girls experience fun and excitement in the big city with gleeful exuberance. The perfect book to read when the days are hot and the mood is cheerful.

(This is not part of our quarterly subscription, but a one-time set to enjoy during the hot and fun summer days.)
