What is included in each SHC Book Box?
In each box you will receive a specially selected book, a delicious quality tea blend, a hand-poured artisan candle, and a small bookish gift. In addition, you are invited to an exclusive online book discussion about that quarter's book.
What kinds of books can I expect in my SHC Book Box?
In each box you will receive a book that corresponds with the genre that quarter. Summer books will be kidlit; fall books will be cozy mystery; winter books will be classics; spring books will be literary fiction. The books will tend to have a vintage vibe, which sometimes means older publication dates, but sometimes will be newer publications with the same feel as the older treasures. Themes will be uplifting, encouraging a hopeful outlook.
How often do I receive my SHC Book Box?
The Small Home Comforts Book Box goes out four times a year: July, October, January, and April
Do I have to subscribe, or can I purchase a one-time Book Box?
Being a subscriber is a better deal! Subscribers receive the priority in box availability, as well as their box being sent at an earlier date. In addition, one-time boxes are a higher price point in comparison to the subscription, and are available only while supplies last. If a one-time box is available, it will be listed on the website as a single product.
When do I get charged and when does the SHC Book Box arrive?
You will be charged on the 15th of the month prior to receiving the box (i.e. the July boxes will be charged on the 15th of June, the October boxes will be charged on the 15th of September, etc.)
The boxes themselves will be shipped out on the 1st of the month designated for that box, or the nearest business day after if the 1st happens to land on a weekend. NOTE--an exception to this is the January box, which will go out on the 3rd or the nearest business day after if the 3rd is on a weekend.
Can I cancel my subscription?
You may cancel any time before the current subscription renews, which happens on the 15th of the month prior to the month the box sends out. You will receive an email notification one week prior to the subscription renewing to notify you of the upcoming renewal.

Can I skip a box?
You may skip one quarter, but beyond that you will have to cancel your subscription. Should you wish to sign up at a later date, you can purchase the subscription again at that time. Please email beth@smallhomecomforts.com to request skipping the quarter.
Do you accept returns?
We do not accept returns. However, if there is a product that arrives damaged, please notify us at beth@smallhomecomforts.com and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
