We are so pleased to announce our Fall Book Box title selection is Death on the Cherwell by Mavis Doriel Hay.
Published in 1935, this Golden Age mystery takes place at a fictional women's college at Oxford. The body of the Persephone College bursar is discovered in her canoe, floating aimlessly down the Cherwell river, and the ensuing search takes us on an investigation that includes not only Persephone women's college, but also the nearby men's college, the local police, and the irascible and unfriendly neighbors of the area
Fall is the perfect time to read a mystery in a collegiate setting. School days are back again and a feeling of academia and study permeates the air that is becoming more crisp by the day.
